Lyman Grover, MA of Tucson is retired from years of leadership in schools, the profit and non-profit sectors.

Vice-President: Katie Barak, EdD
Katie Barak, EdD of Cerritos, CA is an adjunct professor of counseling at California State University Long Beach and continues to bring her 35 years of experience in education from the LA County school system.

Treasurer: Bryan Eto, CPA
Bryan Eto, CPA of Tucson's firm Beach, Fleischman and Company continues to generously give of his time and energy to guide a start-up non-profit in a difficult economy.

 

Executive Director and Chair of the Board: Max L. Vosskuhler
Max L. Vosskuhler of Tucson, as he completes his MPH with concentration in Safety Promotion, continues to work to keep reducing injury for children and all people throughout the world and in Tucson, as he has since founding the organization.

Director: Michal Grivna, MD, PhD, MPH
Michal Grivna, MD, PhD, MPH of Prague, is currently teaching at Al Ain Medical school in the United Arab Emirates and continues to give his unique global perspective on issues facing the Center.

Director: Ellen R. Schmidt, MS OTR
Ellen R. Schmidt, MS OTR of Maryland who works for the Education Development Center as a Senior Project Officer on the Children's Safety Network in charge of the Washington, DC Office, continues to serve the Board with her expertise in unintentional injury prevention, government liaison work and building collaborations and partnerships between public health departments and state departments of education.

Director: James Shafer
 James Shafer of Tucson, brings new perspective and energy to the Board from his long-time community service and volunteerism in Tucson. He has been a leader in the Opera Guild of Southern Arizona and the Tucson Musical Arts Club and a former respite care-giver for the Pima County Health Department for persons with AIDS. Jim knows well the dedication of a volunteer effort and the power that a committed individual has on creating change in their community.

There are currently three unfilled board member at large positions.  Terms available are 1, 2, and 3 years.  The maximum number of consecutive terms is 2 terms without sitting out a minimum of 1 term.
